Scientific Talks with Margaryta Tevosian

On the 21 June our NGC Designer Margaryta Tevosian gave an interesting talk about tissue clearing techniques. Within the past few years different techniques have been developed. Clarity and Cubic use acqueous buffers, whereas Disco uses organic solvents. All of them require weeks to prepare the tissue for imaging. These techniques can be coupled to imaging with a spinning disc or with light sheet microscopes. They can be used for whole organs, embryos, slices or organoids. Unfortunately, they are not applicable to retina due to its high pigmentation.
